Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relationship Skills (PEERS) for Young Adults Flyer
PEERS for Young Adults (18 – 30) is a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated young adults. PEERS is intended for higher functioning adults without significant intellectual disabilities and must attend each session with a social coach. Adult Peers Support Group Flyer
The ASD peer support group will provide adults with ASD the opportunity to talk about issues that concern them in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Possible topics may include: sharing ideas about how to deal with sensory issues, helpful ways of coping with anxiety and stress, being diagnosed (in your late teens or as an adult), and/or what it means to be an adult with ASD.

CommunityWorks Canada®
CommunityWorks Canada® (CWC) is a pre-employment, community-based volunteer training program for teens and young adults in high school between the ages of 15 to 21 with ASD. With the support of peer mentors, the program is designed to help teens explore their interests and abilities in a variety of work environments while learning important skills that will enhance their ability to live and work more independently. Each week the teens will volunteer with a different local organization while they develop job skills, build their resumes, learn to socialize and make lasting friendships. Teens are required to have transportation to and from the different locations each week and be able to commit to a weekly 2.5 hour session for 12 weeks. This program is open to 6 participants for each 12 week block. *Please note that by registering you are expressing interest in this program. Further eligibility assessment and screening will take place to confirm enrollment. Registration open November 19,2

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention for Parents and Caregivers - How to handle a crisis and keep everyone safe. CPI
This course is intended for family members who support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and would like to enhance their skills in a crisis. Participants will not be certified. Families must have completed an intake with Kerry's Place prior to registering for the course.* This workshop will provide parents and caregivers with an overview of some of the concepts and strategies taught in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training program that can help in the support and care of their family members at home and in the community. It may also give parents and caregivers insights into behavior patterns of their family members. The workshop includes workbooks in which participants can fill in information about their family member as they go through various program concepts. After the workshop, they'll have take-away Action Plans filled with strategies they can begin to use immediately. Please bring a lunch.
